Current rates, not a guaranteed quote
Current indicative rates are retrieved from Coinbase on demand and refreshed every 60 seconds while this tab is visible. A 60-second server cache limits requests. Coinbase does not supply a market timestamp or a guaranteed update frequency here: the displayed time is our retrieval time. This is not a tick-by-tick trading feed.
If the provider is unavailable, the last retrieved rates may remain available for up to 24 hours, with a clear warning. After that, conversion is unavailable. Bank fees, commissions and bid/ask spreads are not included.
How the calculation works
Each rate is quoted against USD. To convert A into B: amount × rate(B) ÷ rate(A). Your amount is calculated in your browser; only rates are requested from the server, never your amount.
